Maintaining relationships is one of the most complex task to manage for humans. I don’t know how it works with other animals! I would like to assume it could be a bit straight forward when compared to us. This could be probably be attributed to their lifestyle needs such as Safety, Food and Shelter. Some animals are territorial and play on their strength primarily to safeguard their needs. And, could be the reason, they take one day at a time! No animal has has shared their thoughts or feelings with me but as a human i would like draw some inferences myself. Why did I do that, I am human too! Needless to say humans need healthy relationships for their well being, unlike other animals. And, managing relationships requires attention, focus and loads of energies.
Relationship as an area always has a scope for improvement! And, this statement is applicable to all humans living in a society. Surely, nobody is perfect in managing relationships! If one relationship is looking better today, the other relationship may get strained. So, looking for a perfect relationship would be a wild goose chase! However, sometimes, temporarily the state of perfection could be experienced during a relationship.
Managing relationships is an ongoing endeavor. Which would mean, constant focus and effort to be put by people involved in relationships.
Conflicts commonly arise in any relationship. If these conflicts not handled appropriately the relationships gets strained, consumes more energies and tend to distract us from our goals. Sometimes, it could lead to severe health issues.
Professional relationships are relatively easier as long as we do not mix personal emotions in it! If a professional relationship is strained, there are multiple options one could exercise. Amongst options, in my opinion, the best is to resolve objectively. And, if nothing works, confrontation as a final resort may help improve professional relationships. It’s far easier to move on in professional relationships.
Blood relationships usually have a longer endurance limits during a conflict when compared to marital relationships. That does not mean that it need not be nurtured. Just spending time and a bit of caring could sometimes suffice.
Marital relationships with regular conflicts commonly results in breakups and in severe cases it impacts well being. While an easier route is to escape from a marital relationship and enter into another, it does not guarantee that the new relationship would be better than the previous. Individual expectations and ego are common elements that serve as blockers to a healthy relationship. Create a platform for a dialogue, communicate, do your part, give it considerable time. If all fails, discuss, agree and move on amicably.
Any effort to change world outside of you may not work! Focus on the easier part, change the world inside you. Constant “positive” communication could serve as a foundation to a healthy relationship, do not stop transnational communication until the issues are sorted in complete.
