How you look at things around you?

In my first year civil engineering subject had a chapter on perspective views.

Perspective is what gives a three-dimensional feeling to a flat image such as a drawing or a painting. Example – a perspective view of a building as you see from an angle drawn on a paper.

Our life is no different. The same situation appears different when viewed from other’s perspective!

In my final year, we had a project presentation. I never got involved during the project phase. On the day of presentation, i took a dump from my project mates.

While the project had several design drawings, I found a visual view of the project outcome was missing! My project mates laughed at me when i shared my view :-).

We did not have PowerPoint presentations those days! I prepared a perspective view of the final outcome in an over head projector (OHP) sheet and kept it with me, just in case!

Our presentation started and our team explained the project. There was a question that our team were unable to explain. This question was related to our faculty’s inability to visualize the final outcome of our project.

I took out my OHP sheet and projected on the screen. The next moment they said “Oh OK”. They were able to visualize and got an answer to their question.

The moment we change our perspective, our thought process changes and things around us may become clearer.

Again, this is my perspective 🙂
